But everything changes when a female scientist appears with advanced technology.
Anna chooses to leave with the scientist, becoming the first to travel into space using a Starwing.
Her former companions do not follow her, but over time Caroline, the two mercenaries, and the Engineer each discover their own Starwing, going their own separate ways into the wider paradox universe.
